The Wayne County Lightfest 2002 runs Nov. 15 through Jan. 1.
Open nightly from 7 to 10 p.m., the lightfest runs along over four miles of Hines Drive from Westland to Dearborn Heights.
Billed as the Midwest's largest holiday show, the spectacle features 39 giant displays and nearly a million lights.
Displays include Santa's Colossal Sleigh, Santa's Flight School with Parachuting Reindeer, the Lochness Monster and Giant Poinsettia Wreath.
There is a $5 donation charge per car. There will be an additional charge for commercial vehicles and buses, and pre-registering is encouraged.
Hines Drive will be closed to traffic nightly beginning at 5:45 p.m. Traffic enters the Wayne County Lightfest at Hines Drive and Merriman, 2 1/2 miles south of Interstate 96 in Westland.
The Lightfest is closed on Dec. 25.
